Sometimes, the best thing about family is how pouty they get when you whip their collective booties in an hours long never-ending tournament of the boardgame 'Sorry!'

::evil grin::

I know I complain a lot about my nephews, but I really will miss them when we go our separate ways this summer.  Michael's little chants of "I'm the luck-y winn-er!" and Scott's tendency to fall down laughing, literally.

What board games do you guys like?  I'm not the only loser that likes them, am I?  ::self conscious::

Trivial Pursuit is Serious Business in my family. My sisters & I once put together our own version of Clue (likewise, I rigged up a "Stud Edition" Guess Who for my younger sister a couple years back). None of us will play Risk with my sister Wendy anymore, since that's a suicide mission. (And oddly, I cannot seem to get anyone to play Lord of the Rings Trivial pursuit with me any more....)

Just about the only game I will not play is Monotony Monopoly. I even play Operation, though I hate it.

LOL. I'm the same way with operation. I can do it, but it makes me feel nervy. Bleh.

Would you believe I've never played trivial pursuit? Don't know why... guess it just never came up.

I know all sorts of card games though. It's left over from when I worked in Yellowstone and Death Valley: most people only had what they could fit in their luggage, so games were usually out, but everyone and their mother had cards.

Nice to know we're not the only family!

Hehe, I'm not very good at it, & I HATE the sound it makes. I have a funny picture my sister took on my MySpace of me playing the game. I'm all, D:

Maybe it's best that way... I suspect Trivial Pursuit is a bit addictive.

My mom's family is more into the card games, but my grandpa is getting picky in his old age, so every time we get together, it's Canasta, Canasta, Canasta.
